Tuesday, May 25 2010, Brewers V.S. Astros (Baseball 200)
Today was a little bit of a different day going into Friday’s we were told there was no seating available above the bullpen outside… So we opted to sit on the “Home Run Porch” out in LF. We were under the bleacher overhang and on top of that there was a big pennant sign over us. This was going to be rough.
I ended up getting BASEBALL #1 courtesy of Brewers Pitcher Marco Estrada recently sent up from the Minor Leagues who has pitched pretty well so far. The baseball he threw me read. “IPAD”, they started to write things on the sweet spot of the baseball again.
That was all I had until the last group when Corey Hart stepped to the plate. He hit a bomb I knew was going to do one of 3 things, hit just above us, hit the pennant thing in front of me, or just miss the pennant thing and maybe hit the webbing of my glove. I ended up loosing the ball in the sun leaning over the railing to my left, stuck my glove out and it landed right in my glove. Marco Estrada and the people around me said nice catch and I was happy with BASBALL #2 which was number 198 of the career chasing 200!
As soon as we were let in for Astros Batting Practice I headed over to the Tundra Section where I would be sitting today and Wandy Rodriguez was walking out and I asked him for a ball and he threw me BASEBALL #3 with his opposite hand and he was surprised he made it to me and we both laughed about it.
Not even a minute later Astors OF Cory Sullivan threw me BASEBALL #4 which was my 200th career baseball and I was very excited that I had reached 200 baseballs, but I was on a roll so I went for another baseball that Lance Berkman ended up tossing me for BASEBALL #5. It was awesome that I ended up getting 3 baseballs in the matter of almost 3 minutes! Off to left field!
My next baseball was hit up and it rattled in the bleachers so it was a mad scramble for the baseball but I picked it up for BASEBALL #6 and I was pretty happy about being at 6 on the day. As any other person prolly would be as well. I think it was Hunter Pence who hit it but I was not exactly positive.
I would go on to get BASEBALL #7 tossed up by Astros pitcher Matt Lindstrom and that was it for the day.
Here’s my view for the night:
The Brewers went on to win 6-1 and snapped their 8 game loosing streak at home. Hopefully that flaw is in the rear view mirror:![]()

Friday, May 21 2010, Brewers V.S. Twins @ Target Field
After we arrived at the Holiday Inn Metrodome we took a shuttle over to the nearest rain station at paid 50 cents for out downtown tick and go to see this happen:
Yup, we witnessed a car crash. The squeal of the tires and the BOOM! The guy across from the train station says,”That Son of a Bitch in that white van (it’s a white truck…) ran that red light!” It was quite comical after they were ok. And we also saw the Metrodome which blended into the dark blah sky.
After that when we arrived to Target Field we took a walk around the park, into the gift shop. We also then went into the skywalk and looked around for a bit. When I went to Gate 34 this was my view:
Beautiful Target Field in front of my eyes! When the gates opened 2 hours ahead of time I quickly snagged BASEBALL #1 off the bat of Twins star Joe Mauer. It was a shot hit into the second deck.
After that I decided to go down by the Brewers dugout because I don’t get to see them that up close at home. I’ll start off with a few pictures:![]()

After that I went up to the Home Run Porch for BP and sucessfully snagged BASBEBALL #3 off the bat of Ryan Braun. The Brewers got smoked in a 7 run 1st inning and ended up loosing 15-3. Not a good day for the Brew Crew. I’ll say good bye with some pictures!![]()

Sunday, May 16 2010 Brewers V.S. Phils
This club needs some fire and they certainly have none. I see a few changes coming in the nearby future for the Milwaukee Brewers. Things are just not going well.
My day started off with my usual trip to Friday’s of course. My buddy Matt was absent to the game with me so my buddy Anthony (AKA TWAN) filled in his spot for the game. Randy Wolf was in Left and I gave him the ol’ what up head nod with a swift how ya doin Randy? He retaliated with a ball being tossed to me that was in his glove for BASEBALL #1.
Shortly after that a kid probobly 10 years old 2 tables over from me made a tremendous catch off the bat of Rickie Weeks right into his glove protecting his family. It was a hell of a catch, kudos well deserved.
Then the next hitting group came up and Corey Hart jacked one onto the point again and I hurdled some fences, collected the baseball, and handed it to the kid above’s ^ friend. He and his mom were very thankful. It’s nice to make a kids day and get BASEBALL #2 of the day all in one swift motion.
The rest of batting practice was rather lame. I managed to get up to the bleachers when the gates opened in time to get LaTroy Hawkins to toss me up BASEBALL #3.
For Phil’s BP I stood in LF for the first group and Jayson Werth was just bombing them one of which I happened to run down for BASEBALL #4. I must say after the first hitting group for the Phillies sit down because it’s going ot be a long batting practice. Howard and Utley don’t even try and put any out.
During the game I sat next to Twan and Sal. Sal is attending most games with me this year. I just met him last year in the bleachers. Yeah weird things happen at Miller Park, you meet people and become friends. haha.
We sat in front of 4 drunk guys the whole game and they were frekin’ hilarious! They were droppin *** like crazy and Twan and I were just geekin’! The big guy behind me insisted that it was not him. He told me to hold his money cup while he proceeded to pull his pants to half mass and bend over in Anthony’s face to ask him if his *** smelt like the fart. I laughed so hard that I cried. I hadn’t laughed that hard in a long time! I swear they pounded down 35+ beers and bought the kids around them cotton candy and dippin’ dots because they were swearing so much. Ha ha!
The whole game the people next to those guys looked really familiar. Then I started talking to one of them and she told me she sees me here all the time. What a surprise? I kept making awkward eye contact with her daughter through out the game… Towards the end of the game I started to talk to her 10 year old brother and out of no where he goes, she wants to know your name! Pointing to the girl I was having awkward eye contact with, lol. I told her and wrote down my name and she wrote down her name and number. I’m a lucky guy. lol.
The Brewers lost again 4-2 on national T.V. 8 loses in a row at home. This is getting pathetic.

Saturday, May 15 2010 Brewers V.S. Phils
Coming into this game, the Brewers have lost their last 6 games at home. We’ve won 4 games total the whole year and 2 of them were in the Opening Series against the Rockies. With all said and done it’s been a long year already seeing the Crew at home, and really even watching them on T.V. on the road. We need to turn these foe’s around. I decided to mix it up a bit at Friday’s today with a nice Three-For-All platter.
From our table then. This was our view with a wide open roof at beautiful Miller Park!
My new Brewer favorite who is currently on the DL at the time Carlos Gomez was out in CF. With a swift shout of Carlos! He turned and we had some sort of air high fiving motion going on. It was kinda funny. Next baseball he got he hooked me up for BASEBALL #1. This guy should definately be a fan favorite. I wonder if he was like this in Twinkie Nation?
Then Jody Gerut came out to CF, I don;t normally say much to him because normally if you do he doesn’t really say much but this time it seemed like he was in a great mood. He waved and under threw me on a baseball. He said sorry and the next one he got to me for BASEBALL #2. I have a picture of him. I need to get a camera. My phone just isn’t going ot cut it for much longer.
During this time there were a few baseballs hit into the bullpen that were capable of a device being used on them. But I don’t risk bringing it into Miller Park.

During this BP I had misjudged a baseball and during Phillies BP I had only one shot and a ball and a guy reached his glove in front of me and muffed it. I hate it when that happens.
Oh yeah, the Brewers now have the “PRACTICE” written on their baseballs. The Brewers also went on to lose their 7th straight at home. Oh Boy!

Tuesday, May 11 2010, Brewers V.S. Braves
I started my day walking to Miller Park from General Parking at this sight:
Yeah, not such a beautiful sight. Miller Park and the Brewers were off to a gloomy start this year. But, on April 6, it was a Tuesday, and the exact same conditions, and the exact same seats. And on May 12th last year, I snagged my first homerun ball ever. On a Tuesday, rainy day, roof closed, same section, same jersey. Can history repeat itself 3 times?
Oh, and a random picture of Matt, lol:
Doesn’t he look real pumped?!? DURRRRRRRRR.
When I walked into Friday’s we got ourselves a patio seat out behind the bullpen. It was literally us and 3 other tables. Not much competition if the Brewers could acctually poke some out today:
The pleasant view I had from Friday’s for the action of batting practice. With my trusty glove sitting on the end of the table. The day started off blah and didn’t get any more exciting then that. I did manage to hit “DD” Doug Davis up for a toss up while sitting there. BASEBALL #1. But all I came out with was one baseball during the Brewers portion of BP. So Lame.
I then proceeded to roam the bleachers for a bit in RF and found a clean goose egg just sitting underneath a bleacher with one little scuff on it. I found this rather weird because BP had been taking place for almost a half hour and I ended up finding it when there was a few people in the bleachers already. But I’ll take the ball for BASEBALL #2.
The moral of the story is that I did not catch another homerun ball today even though the conditions were in my favor. Oh well. Not many chances you get to have a play on a homerun ball. I’m happy I have 3 under my belt and I’m fairly content!
OH! This is my throw back baseball for if I catch an opposing teams home run! It reads, “GO GOMEZ GO”. Kinda an inside joke.:

Tuesday, April 27 2010, Brewers V.S. Pirates
This is the game where conflict had happened…
So I took my normal strut to Friday’s after having a brief talk with “The Happy Youngster“. My buddy Matt joined a table with him as Wiley (My Cousin) and I took another table for batting practice.
Not long into batting practice Rickie Weeks hit a bomb into the area where the “best seats in the house” used to be in center field also known as “the point”. It hit under the T.V. booth… Knowing I had other conflicts with a certain someone before him thinking any baseball hit near him is automatically his I told him he could have it. He goes, “I don’t know where it is”. I said ok hopped the fence to the point at crawled under the stairs and grabbed BASEBALL #1. From this moment on I had knew he was going to be pissed. But I really had no wrong, I gave him a fair chance at the baseball. But I got ripped for it in his blog. Whatever. Back to BP.
I then managed to snag a Casey McGehee baseball off the bat on the fly. I looked at the baseball and as I was looking at it something caught my eye. No, not a left hook from the other ballhawk, it was a “TPX” logo mark imbeded into the baseball from McGehee’s bat. I though that was rather darn skippy as I snagged it for BASEBALL #2.
Shortly after that Rickie Weeks was up and happened to hit another one into the concourse behind us at Friday’s. I did hesitate for a minute but I did jump the fence again and grab BASEBALL #3. From that time on any other baseball that was hit out there I was going to just tuck my tail inbetween my legs and not go after because I was grinding “the best in the biz’s” gears.
As we were about to head out of Friday’s, Corey Hart was hitting and the baseball bounced in the bullpen and shot up over the railing and I snatched it right out of thin air! BASEBALL #4! I was sitting pretty for the day already and we were done with one batting practice.
So we have the begining of Pirates Batting Practice… I went to the RF Loge bleachers. It paid off yesterday so I was hoping to have similar luck…I looked down into the pen and a Pirates Coach was lolligagin’ into the bullpen where there were 2 baseballs. I politely asked for a baseball and he tossed me BASEBALL #5 of the day. Sweet.
I then traveled over to Left Center Field into the Loge Bleachers and hit up Joel Hanrahan for
BASEBALL #6. Then went over a few sections and asked Brain Bass for a baseball and he fired me BASEBALL #7 of the day. I hate it when people are standing next to you and the guy is clearly throwing to you and they try to snag the baseball. Well that was my final baseball of the day. Not too shabby and my best total of the year so far.

7 Baseballs, 4 hit up, 3 tossed up

And I’ll leave off with a little preview of my baseball holder that I’m assembling in woods class at school. In the middle where the diamond is there is going to be baselines and bases added into it and the brewers throwback logo in the middle. It’s going to look pretty cool I think. I’m currently 6 baseballs short of filling it. As you can see the top is not completely filled.

Monday, April 26 2010 Brewers V.S. Pirates
Yeah………… Ive been really busy and have been unable to update this until now. Not like anybody cares because nobody reads it. I guess it just helps me keep track of where I’m at and if others happen to wonder over and read it that’s cool. Maybe I have some people who read this every once in a while. Just maybe. Haha.
So let’s get down to business. I happened to get no baseballs in Brewers batting practice which has been a faminous trend, (if that’s even a word), since the beginning of the year. So once Pirates started to take BP I went and hit up RF. Where Ryan Church was hitting bombs. I positioned myself to try and snag one of them. About 5 rows up I was standing. He ended up hitting one over my head and a bit to the right and I ran over and beat out somebody to grab it. I was relieved, one baseball in the bag for BASEBALL #1.
After that lucky rundown, I was just scanning the outfield patiently watching batting practice until I heard a whistle coming from down below. Just a reminder I was sporting the Pirates stuff for BP and for BP ONLY! I looked down and I was being whistled at like a hot blonde on broadway. Pirates Pitcher DJ Carrasco looked at me and waved his arms and threw me BASEBALL #2. I myself thought that was pretty sweet because I didn’t even have to ask for it.
So I moved down to the field level where Brain Bass was standing and having fun flinging baseballs into the stands like guys fling nickels on ****** a$$es on nickel night. That was a little uncalled for I must say, at least it made me chuckle? The morale of the story is that he spotted me and threw me a knuckleball as he delivered me BASEBALL #3.
I ran into school friends Austin and Mary. They gave me poo for the Pirates stuff. I told them it was all in good fun and they understood. I shrugged it off and went to the loge level and snagged me BASEBALL #4 of the day via Pirates Pitcher Brendan Donnelly.
Then before the game started I had BASEBALL #5 tossed to me while I was standing in the Tundra Territoy.

5 baseballs, 4 tossed up and 1 via the bat.
