Tuesday, August 10 2010, Twins V.S. White Sox @ US Cellular Field
This was my second trip to US Cellular Field on the year. The White Sox are battling the Twins in the mits of a pennant race. This should be a fun game especially sporting my Twins apparel. Once again we’d be taking the 2:10 train. Sal, Wiley(He needs to do some blog updating himself), and I. The gates would open a little late at 5:34 and we hustled to the LF Bleachers. I was 1 away from 250 career baseballs and 5 from 100 on the year. Could I do both of the goals on the day?
The first thing I did was run over to the bullpen down the LF line and I spotted a ball that was gettable with a device. So i pulled it out (lolz) and I retrieved BASEBALL #1 and my 250th baseball of my career! I would have rather had my 250th tossed to me or caught but I’ll take what I can get.
Then I went over the the first row of LF and got Twins Pitcher John Rauch to toss me a baseball for BASEBALL #2 on the day. In the matter of about 7 or 8 minutes.
After that I roamed to RF because the power house lefties in Jason Kubel and Joe Mauer were taking BP. I was standing about 8 rows back and ended up catching me one on the fly while almost being tackled. BASEBALL #3. The Twins fan in the front row goes, ” OH! and the Twins fan catches over all of the White Sox fans!” I just laughed and gave him the “head nod”.
My last ball came via the “cup trick” as well and it put me at BASEBALL #4 on the day and I was sitting at 1 baseball from 100 on the year.
The Twins would go on to blast the White Sox 12 to 5 hitting 4 home runs during the game. Including a JJ Hardy bomb which was kind of nice to see a former Brewer taking it to a Chicago team. ![]()

Friday, May 29 2009 V.S. Reds
This was a day that with the weather so nice outside I knew Fridays would be rediculously packed. And I was right it was. So I had figured I’d end up with jack squat in Brewers BP. And in all, it was a Friday so I had figured I’d do bad overall. Boy was I wrong. I’m going to get straight to the point on most of them.
First 3 mins of Brewers BP. Bush hits a fly ball by Todd Coffey and he throws up BASEBALL #1.
Then when the first group of big hitters were up Hardy hits a bomb into Friday’s and no one was paying attention so I grabbed it off the bounce. BASEBALL #2.
Then next time Hardy was up crack I catch it on the fly.BASEBALL #3. The old guy next to me yelled at me and was calling me innapropriate names lol because I already had three baseballs. With more yet to come.
Then my main man Mark DiFelice threw one up. BASEBALL #4.
Then to end the Brewers BP I jumped over the railing of Friday’s to grab a Bill Hall Hr ball. BASEBALL #5.
So I went and threw on my Reds hat.
I said Hey to Edinson Volquez and he gives me a thumbs up and shoots me a baseball right away. BASEBALL #6.
So I chugged over to RF where reds SS was shaggin’ fly balls. He saw me and I got BASEBALL #7! I AM NOW ONE AWAY FROM MY CAREER HIGH! I HAVE TO REACH IT I SAY TO MYSELF!
So I ran to LF by Francisco Cordero. Tosses up BASEBALL #8. Now I’m thinking to myself… Do I stop trying so hard or go and try to get more.
I went back up to the LF bleachers and hollared at Micah Owings. He then threw BASEBALL #9 up and I had just reached my record! I was PUMPED!
Then to cap it off I reached double digits with Mike Lincoln throwing me BASEBALL #10!
Sooooooo Today was a great day!

Wednesday, April 15 V.S. Reds
So Friday’s above the bullpen is where I start out for BP Today. The first group hitting is JJ Hardy, Rickie Weeks, Prince Fielder, and Bill Hall. So I sit in my seat. Then Bam, JJ sends one sailing into the Midwest Airlines area. It goes under all the electrical equipment. I had to crawl under to get the ball. BASEBALL #1
Then next time JJ was up about 4 swings in he puts another one out over the Midwest area peak and into the alley way. I jumped the railing and ran for it. Picked it up, BASEBALL #2.
Then when Bill Hall came up he sent one sailing and I hoped the railing once again and had BASEBALL #3 in just the first group of hitters. My luck then ran out from the Brewers that day.
During reds BP I managed to get a ball thrown up for BASEBALL #4.
